Well the thing with all of this is the unknown.

Please let's not make this political but the unknown policies are the problem.

There are plenty of guys like me that run older trucks. What if they do a nationwide carb? How many people will that affect? If you have a nice truck that's maybe two or three years old you worked hard you paid it off they could just tell you nope not good enough. Go get a brand-spanking-new piece of crap get in line at the dealer because it has to be more and more and more efficient. And without saying it of course there are better ways to approach that problem...

New policies taxes foreign policy things that affect people's jobs affect trade all of these things contribute to the flow of freight. Obviously if people aren't working or they're making less money they buy less and there's less to move. When companies don't expand or buy new equipment there's less to move. It is all Dominoes.

This right now this moment is not the time to get in.

I didn’t even say anything political and it was deleted for being political? What a joke.

They edited my post also, not even sure what they took out.

I mentioned different things that can happen when any new administration takes over and I did it without taking sides.

    Whatever.

What you said wasn't too bad but then @Oscar the KW jumped in and ran his mouth and that's the way these innocent political posts get turned into brawls.
Pretty soon every guy with a political gripe jumps in, screaming and yelling ensue, and we have to delete posts, hand out infractions, and ban people.
I'd rather catch the political statement early, get rid of it before it causes trouble, and keep everything reasonably calm.

Really? Like I said, what a joke. Everyone on the internet has turned into a giant #####. Deleting and banning people because they don’t like what was said. Sad, oh well, see ya in hell.

Slowpoke KW and Ruthless Thank this.

I didn't like or dislike what you said. You just said it in the wrong forum. You didn't get a violation or any points against you. Your post was deleted. You already know that, so whining about the way you were treated isn't really valid.

My post might have been misleading. Now, I try to figure out how much was spent in 2020. Then when I have my numbers I will take that to our tax accountant who does these things for truckers. I'm trying to organize expenses in a spreadsheet giving it to my wife. Since so much was going on last year, I piled a lot of things in separate folders. My wife did the files. But I tend to keep receipts in my truck, in my car, in my wallet, in my pockets, some attached to the road trip reports, etc.
I need to look over how much interest was paid on cards, loans. How much was paid for the tollway that year. And since the anniversary is coming at the same time next month, I need to do all renewals like vehicle inspections, renew consortium, pull out my MVR record, etc. My wife will be helping me out. Though she is not happy with my habits. And she's right. Now, she gave me an envelope to put all receipts in one place when I'm on the road then give it to her before I attach any receipts to the road trips or before these are lost, so all are accounted for. Too many receipts on the road, grabbing coffee, chocolate bars, food, coolant, etc. That is the hardest part to account for, spending money constantly on small things.
I will try to do much better in 2021.

I made a post after this one and you deleted it as well. It had ZERO political commentary to it. Thank you for that, Hitler.
