I have an RV that is on an International 4200 chassis. The motor is a VT365. The problem i am having is hard starts when cold. If I do not plug the block heater on for an hour or two it takes about 30-45 seconds of cranking to get the engine to start with LOTS of white smoke while cranking. When the block heater is plugged in it will fire right up. I think I am loosing the high pressure oil somewhere. Dummy plug, stand pipe, HPOP, etc...??? Does anyone have any past experience with this or any ideas of where to start?
@Heavyd ?

I would check the glow plug system first. Should be a solenoid for them on the right side valve cover. When cold, it will click on and send power to the glow plugs. Make sure the solenoid is working, has battery power and so on.
