If you were buying a truck what would be more important. The model (I.e. Pro star, cascadia ect) or the engine.(I.e. Cummins, detroit ect)

Not sure I understand your question, but since you can get most models with most engines, who cares? With all the emissions stuff taking place in 2010, it's a #### shoot, right? Cat is not making truck engines anymore, so you can eliminate them, but I'm sure leftover '09s will be around for awhile. I do not like the Mercedes heavy truck engine, but would gamble on the Int'l Maxx force engine coming out. (pretty sure that's what they're calling it). You gotta' remember Int'l has been making heavy trucks/small diesel engines forever, so they should have it down right. But talk to enough people and you will get enough answers to confuse you just a little.:biggrin_25510:

1st you have to have some idea of what you are going to be hauling. ie: Van otr, skateboard, local, rockhauling etc. Solo or team? Too many buy the name and not what the job requires. I personally like KW T-800's. Think it is the best all around truck made. But many will tell me I am crazy.
