If the truck is shaking it's called a freightshaker for a reason. Are you lugging the engine?
What's the rpm when it's shaking?truckdriver31 Thanks this. -
Yeah think I’m lugging it sometimes ill have to go into 4th instead of 3rd I guess because my speed is too high for 3rd i don’t know. How fast are you suppose to shift those lower gears

Depends on the transmission. I'll assume ten speed. If I remember right and I probably don't those Detroit 60s liked a little higher rpm. Don't upshift when you're at 1300, bump it up to 17 or 18

Yeah 10 speed. Alright I’ll give it a try thanks

Don't shift at high RPMs you will never get it in gear. You want the exact opposite. You shift at 1,000 RPMs or less, in low range. You do this because you don't have to match the gears and it stop all that shaking. You don't need 500HP to get rolling from a stop.

why you shifting less then 3rd anyway. you can start off higher. the jerking is from you starting off too low

On flat ground.....my rig likes 1,300-1,500 for gears 1-6, and 1,500-1,600 for 7th. 8th-10th aren’t as picky.
