I actually wont be doing OTR but going local with pepsi doing customer drops and the training pays better than 500 minus taxes a week

Think twice about Pepsi. Unless you’re in a very small plant, you’ll likely be starting out doing drug stores and convenience stores. It isn’t the worst, but it’s a lot different than just dropping pallets off at the Walmart’s or big grocery stores. Those runs are gobbled up by the high seniority guys

CDL Permit belongs to you and you only. No trucking company can take it or stop you from going to the DMV to get your hard copy CDL. The problem is getting a truck to use at the DMV. Some beverage companies help people get their cdl and use their trucks at the DMV. Your big headache right now is that mortgage payment. Do Stevens employees have access to a credit union that Stevens recommends. That might be a temporary fix.

Almost sounds to me that this was your plan from the start, and Stevens/DMV mucked it up by not allowing you to get your CDL as normal. As others have said, and will say, the Pepsi gig has quite a bit of negatives. There is a reason that there is always openings for a driver.
Best of luck. -

If you're a military veteran or a family member of a military veteran, www.USAA.com will probably help you through the financial problems. This company is a federal bank and works with people that other financial institutions won't help.
USAA helped me with a money transfer problem buying the house I'm living in now and also have my car insurance there. -
