1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

Not sure how the suspension is working on you, but you might call CRST they will hire anybody.

Also they are a "bottom feeder" company as well but I guess you need to start somewhere, and I know they do hire people with pasts

the suspension was from like jan 15th to feb 12 of 2007. so come feb 12th i will have no suspensions in 3 years. thats where werner said if it was feb 12th i would good to go. my 2 moving violations in 3 years time is failed to yield the right of way leaving my driveway.. we have trees right to the road.. and the other was faild to obey traffic sign or something like that. that one honestly was 2 years ago when my mom passed away and i was upset and speeding like 10mph over and thats what he reduced it to on the spot.. i have been trying local places as well.. there are so many people looking for work. when i was in truck school there were alot of people there that either were only there so they could get unemployment and not look for work or people that you could just tell will not make it. you get to know your classmates pretty well after 5 months in the field.. again if anyone wants to bite.. i have an up to date dmv report you could see and however many refrences you want.. im not giving up.. i may get turned down 500 times but all i need is one chance.. if i gave upp i might as well leave my family and go live in a box...

man! I hate to hear someone begging for help and not able to help. You should always put your faimly first, food on the table an warm bed to sleep in. Your time will come. Keep looking. If you cdl school took you in, They do a back ground check on you , mine did. Before I started, If it was too bad you cant go. Just keep looking as much as you can stand. Call then every day thangs change on daily base. Head up! your agood man.

Pfftt..... you went to a school with morals. Most don't have that. They will gladly take your money and get you a license, they don't care if you can't get a job afterward. :biggrin_25512:

these schools need to be sued for making the big promises when they know full well your driving record will make you unhireable.

Your being turned down for you record, telling you they won't hire because you have no experience is the easy way out and the safest for them. Anything else and they open themselves up for lawsuit.

I wouldn't think it's because your overweight. I know the dot is trying to pas BS regulations but i'm like 370 lbs and i've never had problems getting work. Just don't apply for Deboar they do have a BMI limit

Only thing up in your part of the country i know of to try is anything with Disilva companies. Usually they run under the names of Webster trucking and BH trucking they do alot of contract stuff up there for store chains. Usually where there is C & S Wholesale grocers there is Disilva of some form. I dont see a C & S close to Freevile NY thou. I work for them in PA and for the most part they were good to me and i made pretty good money. They used to have awesome insurance also dont know much about the 401k thou. You might try giving them a call at there home base in Burlington and see if anything in your area. They hire just about anybody.

pfmjr and big don,im no little guy either 6 ft 250lbs,,,,this is how i look at it ,let people think what they want, what they dont under stand is it dosnt matter what size you are,its can you do the job!!!! your personality, your wants and disires in life, and yes motovation,,, over comeing and adapteing, but for every good thing we can come up with theres always someone that wants to say something negative,,and thats what holds people back, it gives us overwieght poeple an exscuse not to try,,,,pfmjr!!!!borther you got heart and motovation !!!!!all ov us have skellotons in our closets for our driveing records and it seems the insurance companys make the rules and run the trucking wishcompanys, and the trucking companys in this economy use it a cruch to get the cream of the crop as far as driveing records go and for us that have a blemish or two, they us it against us,,,,,,i wish you all the luck there is work out there and i myself after i park this truck this weekend have a few avenues i can go down, wish you all the luck

    NTTS...grrrr :biggrin_25510:
I still recall their ads on late night tv when I lived in Buffalo.

...This post is really from the heart. You can sure feel for this guy. I just don't see anyone taking him on with this record...need time for stuff to fall off...and then keep pursuing your dreams. Somehow, right now your taking care of the family - so if you can keep doing it while your MVR clears..just do that...maybe something seasonal for the holidays in retail or anything to just buy you some time while your record clears. At least you don't have any DUI/DWI...2 of them 'ever' and you can't do CMV into Canada!

I visited Roehl yesterday and was overhearing the call center as applicants called in. Each caller had some c r a p on their MVR. Some had 2 or 3 DUIs...so there sure are worse people out there than your situation.

The bad part? - if this takes too long to happen for you, from the time NTTS ended - you will need to redo training all over again at most of the larger companies...and while they finance that usually, thats even more money...

    :biggrin_2554:

...I wish you all the luck..I really feel for your situation dude. Hang in there and be blessed that your family is there for you right now..

    -H
