I see people cry about cascadias and so called lesser makes but take a look most of today's drivers ?
They pound the piss out of a truck , take zero pride in it and hold it on the floor .

I got all kinds of justifications and excuses but it boils down to looks for my application.
They are made for wider tire (315) which increases the load carrying capacity. Not needed in my application.singlescrewshaker, Coffey, Ruthless and 3 others Thank this. -
@Tug Toy
I had not been over to your post here in a long time. But good on you for keeping it going and very open and honest with cost and experience. Good or bad.
So just consider this a thanks on all posts, cause I'm not going thru 40 pages to thank them.
singlescrewshaker, Coffey, Isafarmboy and 5 others Thank this. -
Spent last week doing annual maintenance under the hood of the truck.
Overhead with new valve cover gasket.
Fresh full service including water filter
New belts
New front cab mounts
New windshield fluid pump
Full engine degreasing and pressure wash
Now working on upgrading to a 13 speed. Had trouble with getting the correct bell housing. Got er all fixed up now. Going back in tomorrow.Last edited: Jan 12, 2021

New complete cut off with only 60k miles on it with disk brakes starts next week. 3.08 gears. Will be adding about 3’ to the length at the same time.
singlescrewshaker, Coffey, RStewart and 15 others Thank this. -
Where did you get this cutoff?singlescrewshaker, Rideandrepair, Tug Toy and 1 other person Thank this.

Vander Haags
Its a Freightliner unit but the frame dementions are the same.
I was able to get 7’ in front of the front hangers because that hadn’t cut it off yetsinglescrewshaker, Flint1, Rideandrepair and 9 others Thank this. -
What year and model Freightliner? What did something like that run you cost wise?
I like where your going with this. I would like to add 3 feet of length to the sleeper on my 9300 , I've located a sleeper and I am a glass man so the roof is a piece of cake to me .
Would be almost quicker for me to buy a nearly new cutoff than reseal all my 23 year old rear ends and completely replace the complete brake system and suspension.singlescrewshaker, fordconvert, Rideandrepair and 2 others Thank this.
