"I had put in on of and waited for it to change b4 I lived."
That is a very confusing line.
What do you mean, waited for it to change before you lived?

All the directions for this IKEA load are totally bonkers.
The one getting me to the shipper put me on a weight restricted road (10 tons), and too late at that. Once I made the turn I had to keep going. The entry to IKEA is not on that road, as the directions lead you to believe.
My RM GPS had the correct way all along.
And getting in to the IKEA in MN, the directions are totally lacking.
It says to turn left on Ikea and the customer is on the left.
Nothing after that.
There are some instructions in the load assignment that say not to go in where the customers go in, and that we need to go up the ramp on the north side to get to the docks on the east side, but that is vague as well.
I called my sister tonight and she gave me the correct directions. (She has worked there for years.)
And they are really tired of Swift and Knight drivers tearing up the property because they don't go in the right way.
We actually talked about it a few weeks ago. I suggested they put signs out to direct the drivers as well as giving Swift more detailed directions, and I guess when I get there at 0400 Wednesday morning I will find out if there is any signage now.
Clearly Swift does not have more detailed directions yet.
Because it is rather counter-intuitive.
When you turn on to Ikea Way with the store on your left, you don't turn left to enter.
You make a right, then another right, and that will get you on the correct ramp up to the docks.
She said if you see the flags in front of you, you are going the wrong way. And you can see the flags at that intersection if you look left, so turn right.
I'll be calling my DM tomorrow with the complaint, and with a little help.
Hopefully for all concerned the directions to both places can be replaced.
I'm sure our drivers would like to avoid a preventable accident as much as IKEA would like us to stop hitting things.dptrucker Thanks this. -

I took the GPS directions to IKEA until the last one. It said turn left when I should turn right to get to the dock area.
That is when you are facing the front of the store with only 2 directions to go.
If you look to the right there is a sign that says IKEA Trucks Only, another that says Deliveries, and another that says Shipping/Receiving with an arrow.
The IKEA Trucks Only probably means no cars, but it could be a bit confusing to a Swift driver.
The other signs clearly show that the receiving dock is to the right.
It is clear that the QC directions should be more complete.
And the IKEA Trucks Only should be changed to Delivery Trucks Only, in my opinion.
Once you get in there is a tight turn around, and then a blind side back into the angled dock.
Not that difficult with a few G.O.A.L.'s.
And my live unload turned out to be a drop.
I think I feel sorry for the next delivery, as I took the only open dock and the grabbed the empty over on the side.
That next driver might have to pull an mt out before he can put the loaded one in. What a pain that would be at that place.dptrucker Thanks this. -
Got home the other day, and today I was finally able to get in to the doctor to renew my BP med.
I've had to skip more doses than I would have liked this past week.
I made another case, a bit stronger this time, to adjust the med with less of a water pill component.
He complied, maybe because this appointment is 6 months late because I cut my dosage down to once every other day about 6 months ago.
So now it is half the dose of the water pill part and twice the actual BP part of it, although it will now be 2 pills per day.
I went in expecting a stern talking to about everything, but he was very nice.
He remembered me from 1.5 years ago because of my aversion to doctors and medical care in general. He got a kick out of it.
I'm starting to like this doctor more.dptrucker Thanks this. -
And now I can barely walk.
Friday afternoon when I got back from the doctor I started dinner.
By the time I was finished cooking my right hip area was in a lot of pain. It's gotten worse over the past couple days. I didn't get any sleep last night because there was no position I could find that would ease the pain all that much.
I had to cancel on a committed load this morning because I doubt I can drive safely right now.dptrucker Thanks this. -
@Moosetek13 visit to a doctor
Moosetek13 Thanks this. -
No one is in until tomorrow, and if it was still that bad I would.
But it is clearing up. The pain is manageable now.
Hopefully I will get some sleep tonight and be able to get to work tomorrow morning.dptrucker Thanks this. -
I didn't really get any sleep last night, but I did dream a bit.
Kind of a wakeful dream, if you get my drift.
So I at least got some rest.
I'm at the Love's in Clive, IA tonight.
A few weeks ago I went through here and the store was shut down due to fire damage, and it is still shut down tonight. Must have been one heck of a fire.dptrucker Thanks this. -
So yeah, next few weeks, ill be leaving swift. Got my llc and me and my Buissness partner funded the account. We are putting two trucks onto the road under my management. We are planning if everything works out to add our 3rd driver as well, 6 months to a year later. And we have a prospective 4th.
Lots of fruitless calls to dealers and sales lots, found something I like, that is properly speced for both what im looking for and will be doing. Got out the credit app and started the process today. Buissness partner is still shopping. But hes got a few on his list to check out atm.
Yeah,,, sooooo, thats what im up too, yeah plans for this developed over several months.
Hope yall are all doing good.
