Anyone currently running for these folks?
Have an offer from them out of St Paul.
Ready for a change from my current gig hauling cryo local/regional. Would be a cut in pay by my estimation but not too severe, and am wondering if they just let you do the job or if they need to babysit. I am so tired of the micromanagement of a large corporation!

Have talked w HR and safety and spoke w a dispatch gal for a bit and they paint a rosey picture, but the seem to have around 20 open jobs...
It's presented as OTR/Regional position but looking for more of an adaptable position that might allow a couple out and back trips one week w maybe a 4-5 day triangle trip the next w a few west coast trips a year.
I don't mind working, being productive, but truck stop time wouldn't intrest me.
I've a mutual friend of one driver here who basically does 2 rounds MN to MI each week, out on Sunday and back on Thursday pulling a end dump of ash and was told he loves it for the past 15 years.

I'm already used to the nanny systems and the neutered auto 65 mph trucks w cameras so that's not a big deal. The insurance seems better than what I've got and was told they upped the pay 4 cents on the 1st of January, true?
If I can negotiate a way for them to cover or contribute to the interm cobra payments we would need before their insurance kicks in I may change gigs and finish my career sleeping in a bunk and enjoying the shenanigans of truck stop living..lol
I run now for Praxair/Linde and get home each evening w 2 days off a week but am getting tired of the grind...10 off and back at it, 60 to 70 a week, every week.
Could be I just need a change of pace as I look to end what will be a 50 year driving career.
Also have an offer from UPS freight which would be great dough but I'd be a jr man on the extra board and freight hauling never was my thing but maybe I could last 3 years but I doubt it.

BTW I'd be running tanker and van.

Thanks in advance if you have any info on em.

Turned the offer down this morning.
They had me take a physical w a drug test before offering the job which I thought strange.
Sounded like a great opportunity with excellent pay and benefits. Due to reasons not entirely on the company I declined the job w the major one being I would be responsible for my family's insurance coverage for up to 90 days till theirs kicked in..a $4,000 expenditure on me which kinda wipes out the $5K sign on.

You could have just thought of it as a $1,000 sign on bonus.
