All those states up in the northeast have pretty much enacted laws to prevent truck stops from expanding or new ones coming in. Years ago Petro wanted to build a big one on 84 east of a Hartford. CT blocked them from buying the land. The only state up there that I would say is at least halfway truck friendly would be Maine.

That Petro seemed fine to me the few times I went there. The food was good, but the showers could use an overhaul for sure. The first time I went there I almost got lost getting to it off of 295 with the u-turn type exit you have to do to get there from the sb side. NJ sux though no doubt about it.

I was at that Petro last week and it about the same. They have a rent a cop there now making drivers move who were parked in no-parking zones.
Other than the parking, its actually a decent truckstop. I have seen alot worst in my day. Past through there 2 weeks ago on weekend and there was about 20 drivers grilling out and watching college football on a flat screen tv and drinking beer on the back of a stepdeck, there were even a few female truckers among them. There's always something going on at that truckstop.
