I have a 2015 Peterbilt 389, it has the factory Magneti Marelli stereo and touch screen with the Paccar/Garmin SmartNav GPS. I went to the Paccar/Garmin website to download a map update. When I go and put in the USB stick into the front stereo to update the maps on the device in the truck it says there is not enough space to upgrade the map. What can I do to update the maps in the factory GPS unit, I paid $100 for this update and it says there is not enough storage room to install it. How do i make more storage space....I took the dash of the truck apart and can not find a place to add a memory card or anything, unless I'm not looking hard enough?

    Buy your own, separate.

If you have not found a connection by now other than the vehicle diagnostic port, there is nothing for you to update.

2nd generation nav plus does not have a web browser, that came in the 3rd generation. Only way to download a map update according to the Garmin page where you purchase it is to download it to a usb drive.

Well, I’m trying to get into my 1.0 with my laptop to view files and change the security settings. It runs off a windows 7 automotive program. So I will post updates as I get along
