Remember how I posted Fri that I talked to my boss about freight and what loads pay? His words were "man we have a lot of freight coming out of San Antonio, try to have Bob put you on the Seguin to Amarillo. Thats a good run."

I called grampa Bob this morning and he has 2 loads. Both going to Houston. He says give it a bit, more stuff will come in. I call him after my DOT physical. Now only one of the Houston loads is available. Pays a whopping $500+ fsc. Then he proceeds to tell me "oh, that doesn't even drop off till next Mon". Now Im annoyed. Then I get "well, I have a Buda to Dallas load". These are also garbage and only pay $650 (on 230mi) with no fsc. But it gets me to Dallas and I'll load something way better in the AM.

If ya didn’t have a lease truck, finding a better company to work for would be ideal if they’re just gonna jerk you around like that; you’ve got the experience for it!

 

Well to be fair ,texas has to be the toughest freight market to work a flatbed? but then again i spent 6 months running montana and did good. Guess its all about what customers u got
