Hi Stan, yeah I shut it down a couple months ago. I was contemplating maybe doing another page with just my friends and no politics. You know my full name if you see a friend request from "Michael W. XXXX" you'll know its me.
    How's things with you ?
I'm still with our friends in central Missouri, supposed to be moving into a chop top 80 footer when I get back out there. Looking forward to the new challenges it will bring !

You know...they can say what they will ...but any Ford looks good in a driveway. I've drove em forever and plan to keep it up.

My only damage story is from a low tree limb at a dealership in Tallahassee. unloading at dealerships is the worst part of being a car hauler. and can be very dangerous when you are forced to unload out on the street.

After 15 months hauling (at the time) somehow damaged my first car and it had to be an expensive new but used 2018 Range Rover sport with 3000 miles. Pickup inspection was inside a show room with glare and I am 99% sure I just missed it on pickup and didn't cause the damage myself. Blemish in the clear coat, no actual scratch. You can't "feel" the scratch just see it. Could have probably been fixed with some polish and a microfiber rag. Owner took the suv to a body shop who deals with expensive cars and got a $2000+ quote. Quote included taking off bumpers, fenders, lights and repaint and clearcoat. Told him I am not paying that much and he can take me to court or we can settle.

Broker was on my side and negotiated with the customer down to $700. Not only that but broker offered to go 50-50 on it because it took him over a month to get a repair quote and broker just wanted it over with. He also believed I didn't damage the car and it was probably already there when I picked it up. Job paid $750 and told the broker to take the $350 and send me the balance with a release of liability so he wont call me back later and ask for more.

Still got a positive review for the job. I got lucky. I don't touch anymore expensive cars unless they pay really really well. I calculate risk with every pickup and make sure it's worth it. Why take a 80-100k car paying $1 a mile when I can get used already scratched up cars for the same pay?
