Does using MotorKote increase fuel mileage? That is another one like the Turbo 3330 that is advertised alot on the trucking radio shows. I bought a gallon and put it in my oil and think my fuel mileage may of increased a bit but it is hard to tell because of the different load weights and different routes and terrains I drive in. I did notice the engine was running a little cooler though and it was a few oill changes ago so I just wanted to get opinions from everybody before I do it again.

i used motorkote mixed with lucas motorsealer and ####, i have 2 full rebuil totalizing 33000 and a partial now of 9700.00. not happy, not happy

Motorkote is great! Lucas doesn’t hold a candle to it. Just keep in mind anything you add motorkote to make sure it’s broke in before you add it or you’ll have problems down the road (rings won’t set right, tranny will always be stiff, rear ends will be tight always) all of that requires at least 80,000+ miles to really break in so don’t add it to a new truck right away. Like i said it’s great stuff i even use it on my ratchet binders in the spray can. Best thing you can do is CALL MOTORKOTE! They’re great guys and are extremely helpful. They’ll tell you exactly what i just did plus some. Also make sure you stick to recommended amounts because there is a method to that madness and actual research done to prove why. So,adding to much and to soon CAN hurt you but if done properly it’s beneficial.

Well, all I have used in my reman 12.7 S60 is a Schaeffer 700 Syn blend... 10w30 in winter, 15w40 in summer. 982,000 miles on the reman. Still only uses about 1 qt of oil in 11,000 miles. Gets 22,500 mile / 450 hr oil changes. All original. Have 28 used oil sample reports on my laptop from the engine. Most recent was 1 week ago. No more wear metals in the UOA's since the first one done at 40,000 miles. Only a water pump changed out and the normal overhead adjustments done. One is going to have a tough time convincing me that any other additives are needed. But the marketing folks can sure convince owners that the the motor oil folks don't have a clue what they are doing and these additives are needed. If one uses a quality oil, operates the engine properly, and does regular services and maintenance, there really is no need to spend money on extra stuff.

It was built in Ft. Wayne, Indiana.

I was just reading what others had experienced with Motorkote to see if it similar to my experience.
Some years ago I had a 1999 International Eagle with a 500hp series 6 pre-egr Detroit. It was running strong with 1,750,000 miles on it, and I thought I'd see if the stuff worked. (Only major motor work at that point was a new sleeve and piston at 750,000 due to a broken injector). Motor would use a little less than a gallon of oil between changes. I was using Delvac 15-40.
I did not expect to hear or feel any noticeable difference. ...but the motor was very noticeably smoother running, and quieter. Ran better under load, and at idle. Can't really recall if mpg was better but to hear the motor smooth out like it did was very surprising....(a full synthetic may of have had same results)
I'm going to try it in my 2013 Volvo 500hp D-13. Still using Delvac....I'll report back when I do.
