Thinking about pulling the trigger on a new rig. I’m looking at a 2 2015 w900 with Cummins motor. I’m not sure if that’s a isx 15 or what. But my question is what should i be looking out for? They both have 550k miles not engine work. I’m sure you guys are going to say stay away from
Emission trucks. Just give me your honest answers based off experience

I’d try and go new enough to get the X15 which is 2017 emissions. That ISX will need rebuilt soon. Otherwise price in 30k to the purchase price.
-
Prior to buying, I'd take it to a dyno test and then if it passes good, I'd overhaul the emission system: clean it, put a new filter, replace every sensor, every wire and every pipe.
Still, that 550 000 mile truck could be already a zombie. I would not want it. If I had no other option, I would not pay more than $40 for it. I'd rather stay a company driver and wait until I am ready for a new truck.Accidental Trucker and DUNE-T Thank this. -

I’m getting the truck for 45k due to an insurance claim on old truck
-
What dose the price of the new truck have to do with the insurance claim on the old truck?
I must not be understanding something? -

70k for a '15ISX with 500k miles? Is that way overpriced or did the used market jump up that much?
spindrift Thanks this. -
Trucks with under 300k miles usually get sold right away tooZVar Thanks this.
