Progressive flip flops from new entry approval. When they have alot, or high exposure the answer is no. When they need business the answer is yes.

Try OOida. It's not great. Northland, Great West are a few others.

I feel from the limited info, your best to sign on with another company. If they will take you for a few years.

I’d pay the $100,000 per year, if you gross $200,000 or more you’d still clear at least $100,000. Gotta pay the cost to be the boss

With that rate I bet he has a good driving record, credit, and lives in a cheaper than average area for insurance. I hit the same trifecta and pay around the same.

i think your forgetting a few other expenses like truck payment, fuel, tires, repairs, plates, ect would be more like clearing 20k per year if your lucky and a lot of headaches to boot.

my advice to the op would be to keep your nose clean for a while till the tickets drop off his record and try again.

Progressive commercial agents have zero business selling insurance. I have never met one that was informative with his own products. Get a year in and shop around. You will do better, and keep shoping every year.

I'm at 5k paid in full 2021 renewal.
    30k tractor
    30k trailer
    10k trailer
    1 mill auto liability
    2 mill general liability
    100k cargo
    35k Bailee.

2022 idk, I went a achieved a speeding ticket for the first time in 18 years. Have a feeling I'm not gonna be well liked come next renewal.

I do not see how anyone could afford to operate with 10% insurance cost vs. Gross revenue. But each and everyone has a different business plan. Good luck. Its a tough world.
