Well friend the paccar engine isn’t the problem it’s all the emissions they put of it that kills it. I have 3 of these and all are deleted. Now the dang things are bulletproof.

where are you having this done?
computer check engina codes/ errors?
would it work on a 2018 MX13??

Thinking of doing an EGR Delete on your Big-Rig?,...Perhaps you should educate yourself on the subject first... EGR Delete Info -- Educate yourself

My mx13 is throwing up 3 codes on the diagnostic screen 1 says low coolant 2 say any 3 low coolant I replaced sensor still says stop engine immediately and shows same code the on low coolant code is different than the first one fmi 6 and 3rd says fmi18 can some one help me deal with this it's breaking me

Also, I wouldn't touch an EPA10 ANYTHING with a 10 foot stick if I were an owner. The EPA13 engines/aftertreatment systems are leaps and bounds better than the EPA10.

I have a 2015 KW T680 with the MX13.

I have no complaints..truck pulls well,MPG are good and the engine is very quiet.
Hows that mx13 treating you now ? Curious as to see how your experience is going with the paccar

The 1st week I had it a emissions light came on..took it into a KW shop.
Long story short..it was something minor but they found the turbo wasn't building boost like it should.
So they replaced the turbo..paccar told them to turn the engine up from 455hp to 485hp..so the egine would produce more heat.

Truck woke up big time!
Plenty of power for hills,jake is working the way it should and mpg are getting better every week.

I average anywhere between 7.2 to 8.5 mpg depending on the load.
Lighter loads I can run down the road at 68mph with no problems.

I went with the Paccar over the cummins due to weight issues on the front axle.
Plus the egr problems the cummins can have.

No regrets here.

my 2017 MX 13 in my dump truck (allison auto) was much quieter and smoother thAn my new 21 Cummins x-15 !!! The Paccar had a built in spinner oil filter and MUUUUCH faster higher CFM standard air compressor! and much better milage (6-7 mpg) cummins 3-5 mpg all in city and hills

Have 62,000 miles on the ol'girl now and in my opinion the PACCAR MX 13 is the real deal. Stable and dependable work horse --- once you learn the quirks and learn to live with them.

1. They don't have the bottom end grunt like a CAT does. If you are down around 1,100 RPM and think that you can just mash the pedal and pull a hill. You are better off to drop a gear and get back above 1,200-1,300 where she will start to pull.

2. She cackles like an old DI (direct Injection) CAT and rumbles like a Harley when the air compressor is building air.

3. My best fuel has been 6.10 mpg and this winter with blended fuel it got down to 5.4 mpg on a couple of tanks but the average has been 5.80-5.90. The weight I normally pull is 85-86,000 lbs with 11r/24.5 Bridgestone open shoulder mud and snow tires with 3:42 rears and 85% of the loads I have to run the PTO for unloading.

4. Have had zero problems with the motor. Had the overhead adjusted at 40k as recommended in the manual and have ran AMSOIL synthetic oil since first oil change. She does have a weird hic-up when when pulling a long pull? She just sort of sneezes / farts / hic-ups and goes back to work. Thinking it may be something more to do with the after treatment system than an issue with the motor.

5. Big complaints are about the JAKE --- my experience is it is a good to great system once I learned how to use it. At a higher RPM than you would think you should be running at is where it works best. At lower RPM's it seems like she is just making noise but at 18-1900 she will hold the truck back pretty good and I have been over some high mountain passes like Rabbit Ears pass at 85,000 gross and only had to brake for a 25 mph switchback.

So overall, I am very pleased with the PACCAR MX13 -- in 62,000 miles the only problem has been with the after treatment system which has nothing to do with the motor. First sensor went at 15k, second was around 32k and the last one was around 52k but I have heard that is pretty much average and after 60k the problems go away -- knock on wood!

Everything was covered under warranty except for my time! The dealers need to create express -- check engine light sensor only lanes in their shops. Putting a truck that only needs a $58.00 after treatment sensor diagnosed and replace on a first come first served list behind a couple in-frames and transmission jobs is unacceptable. I can't afford to lose 4-5 days revenue over a a check engine light. So far they have gotten me right in within a reasonable amount of time.
