Banker Thanks this. -
My former team driver made $130,000 last year on 60 hours a week with a high school diploma in Parcel. How bad is their contract? Who has a better contract in trucking?SidewaysBentHalo, Dave_in_AZ, De Trucker and 2 others Thank this.

I feel your pain brother, luckily I have a little fat to live on in the lean times.Dave_in_AZ, De Trucker and LtlAnonymous Thank this.

Holy crap!!! This is crazy!!! I remember the hesitation I had when making the decision to leave after the contract was rammed through. I'm glad my assessment of the company was accurate and that I went on to greener pastures when I did.
I feel bad for those guys that were there thinking they had it made. Friggin stinks. Alot of those guys were top dogs for seniority and now will have to go to other outfits at bottom of the heap again. Since they're being bought out, I wonder if the contract will still be honored, or if it becomes null and void. If so, will guys get severance packages??? Or just be told this is their new pay scale, take it or leave it.
Just crazy. -
The struggle is real. Not easy to get by with UPS paychecks!Banker Thanks this.

The new company has to honor the contract. And from what I been hearing they intend on keeping everyone and continue to negotiate with the union for future contracts.Banker and LtlAnonymous Thank this.

Not like they'd replace all those $34 hour guys with $17 hour immigrants from Canada.
That would be un-American.

Not all are making that it really depends on what local you are part of. My local sucks and I made 57 grand last year working 3 days a week on call
