This!!!! If it’s listed on your DOT physical you must disclose to company. They may want a note from your doctor stating that the medication won’t affect you driving a CMV. I’m on 2 meds. One for sleep and one for anxiety(actually anger lol). I was once stranded at an orientation in TN because the rules had just changed and my doctors office in PA wanted to see me before writing that letter. Yes they expected me to come back home for an appointment. I told them this was exactly why I need meds!!!!

I take that for sleep. No troubles at all. But I'm kinda known for no troubles at all so take my opinion with a grain of salt.
I learned about seroquel from a past girlfriend , she took it for sleep so I tried it and wholly cow what a wonder drug. Sleep like a baby. I guess it has more than a few uses. My doctor says its a great sleep aid as long as you just take the regular dose not the extended release that is more for the bipolar. -
take medications that are supposed to give you energy or keep you awake, you will find they make you tired and kill your energy, because the pharmaceutical industry is one of the greatest scams in history.
PacoTaco Thanks this. -

If you get the Doctor that does your DOT physical to specifically word that you are under the care/observation of a physician regarding the medication, AND that you won’t take it while driving and that it does not affect your ability to drive, you should be fine.
Swift007 Thanks this. -

All of this "legal or not" argument is fine but it misses a valid point.
Most trucking companies, mine included, wouldn't touch a driver doing that level of drugs. It's just not worth it. Too many red flags, too many issues left unresolved, too much chance of litigation in case of an accident.
There are enough drivers out there who don't need drugs to get through the day to take a chance on one who does.
Sorry OP, that's the way it is.GoneButNotForgotten and Swift007 Thank this. -
