Finally back in my truck.
And a pretty lousy load to begin with; dropping my mt at Inver Grove and then bobtailing to a Home Depot in Maplewood to pick up an mt they want out of there.
The next load is better.
Pick up tomorrow morning near Duluth and deliver to the Home Depot DC in Topeka, KS.
All this down time has left me short on miles for the month. I'm not sure if I will even qualify for the basic bonus if I don't get some good miles in the next few days.FerrissWheel and dptrucker Thank this. -
Tucson as
ended up picking this load up in Moreno valley ca.
has a 1200 appt tomorrow.
called the final to see if I can get in early and park on site.

Working on paperwork now, she checks out, frame and engine even repainted front to back. Engine is strong and solid transmission is good too. Everything front to back checks out on it.

I'm trying to keep my idle time down, but sometimes it isn't easy.
This bunk heater won't stay on more than 30 minutes or so, so I can not rely on it when I sleep.
And if I bring it in to the shop for that, am I looking at another 5 days of down time waiting for a stupid little part that they should have in stock?
This shop stuff is getting out of hand.
Ever since Knight took over I can count on very long shop times.
It seems everything takes a lot longer now.
That last shop was not Swift, but the dealer, to be fair in this little rant.
But it was 5 days at the last Swift shop to get a DEF filter replaced.
This time it was 5 days for a DEF sensor.
And now it seems we must schedule our time with the Swift shops just to get in, and hope the loads can get us there in time.
Some things have improved, but the shop experience has not been one of them.
And with the new bonus plan of one month at a time, it makes it even worse.FerrissWheel and dptrucker Thank this. -
