I really want to get into dispatching as well as a function of my overall plan and i think your advice is the route I want to take.My only question is how do I find brokers in NYC to offer my services for exchange for experience?Where would I at least begin my search?

Lol ‍♂️ I googled freight brokers where I live and I simply didnt realize it was that many.Ill start calling them on Monday.Any suggestions on what to say when they ask my experience because I have none?I guess I could say I dont have any but I do have a willingness to learn and I do have a 6 months savings cushion so I can actually afford to work for bottom level pay because I am at the bottom level.Do brokers generally be interested in training people or would they prefer experienced people?

Sell yourself . You can always learn the ropes but there are personality traits that they cant teach you.
Are you fairly cutthroat ? Willing to hose some guy trying to support a family with a worn out old truck out of 1200 bucks?
Are you a good negotiator ? Can you convince a guy to take a load for you for the absolute minimum price ?
In the old days, many truckers would just haul the freight for the price you set, but now there is a growing culture of fighting back for every nickel . Are you prepared to deal with that?
If you are fairly bright and can learn to visualize the logistics of each load in your mind , you wont have much trouble with that part, but keep in mind that some folks never do get very good at it and constantly have to be reminded of the tricky intersections between time and space FMCSA regulations governing our movement therein .
