Yall, my insurance (unlimited radius) is coming up for renewal and I completed the questionnaire. Insurance agent (who is great) just called with the renewal rate!!!!
No claims, no tickets. Went from $4900 to $13,000......OMG.
Registered and app plated in ND. Due to oilfield, covid, and family stuff have been in MS for most of the year so less than 5% of miles in home state. Ins. agent is doing some checking, but in the meantime,
1. should I update MC/dot to MS? -this would change mileage to mostly within a 500 mile radius
2. If I update all information to MS could I run my plates till 9/21 expiration?
Anyone been thru this?

Truck registration is where the office is, some carriers have offices in different states in order to save on lns and fees. If you are inc or llc and change address don't for get to contact the sec of state , if you changed ins company or got a new quote, check with the agent you had before. Ins quotes change from location to location , one area will be higher or lower than the other. It don't matter where you live but, where the truck lives. They are some decent ins agents and others that make you feel that you should have been kiss after dealing with them. Make some calls , could save a lot.
