I delivered up around Fultonville, NY last week, that's east of Syracuse.
We run a lot of northeastdabs Thanks this. -
You will have to drive real slow, I am in Colton waitin on a Wal Mart pickup
-
or
While I have never been to the place in question.I am however very familiar with Jersey as I used to run a dedicated run up to Hartford,CT and back to Memphis,TN with another company. Also not to mention my fathers side of the family lives there. My cousin is the Mayor of Jamesburg,NJ
.Anyhow......
You will be able to see the statue of liberty from there I think. You will be able to see the Empire State building as well its the tallest building on the skyline. You best bet is to drive in early am.You have a few good options, however parking near Sysco is unlikely because it is NJ and they are a NY wannabe state.
1.(I go with A.) If you are going across 78 E here are some options.....
A.ext 10 PA leaves approx 110 miles to go
B.ext 45 not as good as 10 but gets you closer about 70 miles
C.ext 7 t/a$ and a small pilot( both are always packed) about 40 miles
D.Avoid exit 12 and 13 like the plauge these are horrible place to stop
E.Find the closest service area on 95 and park there but you have to be early.
You will also want to be 2 hours ahead of your appointment time from where ever decide to stop especially if you appointment comes after 7am.If your appointment is later than 7am than give yourself 2 and a half to 3 hours because traffic is extremely heavy esp N I 95,E I 80,E I 78,N I 287,and any and all roads headed to the Big Apple.Hope that was helpful.Unless you are real close.
oh by the way it will most likely smell bad there as well..............Last edited: Nov 1, 2009
The Challenger and Panhandle flash Thank this. -
Howdy all ! This is my first post on Mr. & Mrs. LMB's thread. However, I've read every post since last November and I'm subscribed to the thread. Here are my questions:
A) Are dispatched miles figured/quoted from the actual physical address of shipper/consignee or zip code to zip code? I realize that JCT uses PCMILER shortest route miles.
B) Do contractors receive discounts off of the pump prices as well as all of the applicable fuel surcharge?
C) Maintenance escrow: 1: how much is put into it and how frequently is it done? 2: is the money in an interest bearing account? if so, is contractor entitled to the interest earned? 3: Who has legal ownership of the money and is it fully refundable upon proper termination of lease? Is it refundable if the lease is terminated prior to the end of the original lease term?
D) Is the purchase price of your tractor fully disclosed prior to lease signing. Is the price itemized with respect to downpayment, purchase price, weekly/monthly payments?
E) Can all lease and rules/regulations be reviewed prior to lease signing? Can these documents be reviewed prior to orientation?
F) No one may have an answer for this one but here goes: I live in North Carolina and from what I've been reading lately it seems as though JCT is not hiring from my state. If I agreed to use Sapulpa, Ok as my 'home' and fly via Southwest Airlines to my home in NC for hometime do you think management might reconsider hiring me. I'm otherwise mucho qualified for the assignment.
Thanks in advance for your answers!

Do you know anyone in Oklahoma?
KH -
No sir I do not. Just trying to think of a way to address the issue with JCT personnel if I actually submit my application.
