The mere fact that this driver is "training" (note the quotation marks) with that little experience speaks volumes and needs nothing added.

Iroc, I think the .38cpm has to come from Hubby having expirience and being first seat. A lot has changed since you left. Be careful what you wish for. -
If you are willing to become a trainer at 6 months of employment you can make 70k a year with werner. When I was in training both of my trainers were run 24/7 (all drop and hook loads). The only time we ever had to stop was when we ran out of hours on our 70.
My first trainer was an owner/op who told me he made over 100k a year and my 2nd trainer a company driver made 80-90k a year.
Also TCU starts out higher than .26 a mile thats what regional drivers start at. -
Do the math, I put it in black and white. You can ask any Werner trainer about the pay scale, and you will find out its all true. Im not here to brag about how much money I make, but I certainly do work hard to earn it.
Notarp, I may be new in the industry, but I will tell you at just over a year, I am a better driver than most I have to share the road with. Seems to me with alot of drivers out there, the more experience they have, the less they care about safety and courtesy. So dont be so quick to judge.
Thats it for me here guys and gals... So be safe out there. -
I think maybe every one is missing the obvious, maybe in his 1st year as an Owner Operator he GROSSED $70,000. That I could easily believe!
-
Seriously, if you make $70k your first year at Werner, then that is just AWESOME! You need to teach everyone else how to do it. I met TMC drivers back in 2007 when I was in ornamentation with them who managed to break $70k their first year, but they were married to that company truck, and admittedly had their noses WAY up the "starfish" of their dispatchers/DM.
VERY rare. I would guess that if you are doing that much at Werner, you know someone.
