Ran across a good friend i havent seen in a while tonight. Got to talking bout our engines. He has an acert that has been played with. Runs good imo. But he started giving me hell cause I guess I passed him coming out of Atlanta and he had to work his butt off to catch me ! LOL. OLE 2.0 is starting to breath a little better as it breaks in. He was telling me he had to replace his block a while back, cracked the block ! Those sculptured blocks IMO are junk for HP. they don't last !

As much as I was against online shopping, I could really get into it. No stupid masks, lines, Karens (or just ###holes in general) and no running around all over town to multiple stores.

Kinda my plan. I bought this one used 7, or 8 years ago. Can't complain.PoleCrusher, cke, singlescrewshaker and 8 others Thank this. -
I've heard that term quite a few times but never had it explained to me. What exactly is a sculptured block?PoleCrusher, cke, singlescrewshaker and 6 others Thank this.

Growing up we ate a lot of chicken out of our own henhouse. Nothing to have 25-40 chickens at all times. Butcher 4 or 5 at a time, and I’d carry the heads, guts, and feathers across the road and throw them across the fence on the other property we had cattle on at times. Just as my kinfolk did before my time.
I grew up on the top of the mountain, could only see one house when leaves were off. With our kinfolk & freinds property I had roughly 400 acres to tramps around on.
I recall a conversation between aunt Winnie and some company that had stopped by. They had ask if she ever seen any big cats or panthers around there, and her response......., Not actually seen it, but I have a big tuft of black hair in an envelope I got off the barb wire fence out yonders.
They ask if it could have been a house cat...?
Aunt Winnie said no, this hair came from the 3rd strand of a 4 strand fence! And it was the only strand still moving when I got out there with the flashlight.
So it was dark they ask...,?
Aunt Winnie said yes it at night. Lester and I were here in the house doing paperwork for his drilling company. When suddenly it sound like a some kind of fight out at the road, Lester thought it was a man hurting a woman and went out the door screaming God Da_ _ it I’m a coming!!! I grabbed the flashlight and went behind him, we never seen nothing but that barb wire moving up and down with that black hair on it.
The location aunt Winnie said she found the hair was were they had thrown chicken parts.
I’ve myself heard some different cats or something screaming in the darkness during my youth growing up on that mountain.
My Freind Roy and I found cat tracks nearly the size of a tennis ball, I can personally say that.
I use to trap coons, possums, fox when I was growing up. I could always be found in the woods when I got close to teenage years.....beastr123, PoleCrusher, Brettj3876 and 15 others Thank this. -
Some time look at an MBN or 6nz or acert. They have less cast metal in the block, you can actually see the outline of the cylinders. The old e-models have more casting and zinc in the casting and still has the cam tunnel like the b-models even though the e-model is an overhead cam engine. The torque twist the blocks ending up cracking. You can install the brakesaver plate that goes between the oilpan and block but it will still happen.PoleCrusher, cke, singlescrewshaker and 5 others Thank this.

I like the twin turbo performance of a acert that has been modified. But you have to be careful of smashing the pedal with them. A single turbo, the lag kinda saves your butt on the twisting if you follow me. I'm grossing 135000 lbs with this load. I set my cruze at 70 mph today in ga and never had to shift or slowdown except around Atlanta. Haven't had a chance to dyno yet. Hope ill get that done end of week.

Any of you fine folks with SIS be able to run a prefix for me? Looking for shop manuals for my 3406. They claim it covers 92U in the description but the photos of the manual only make mention of a 70V prefix. Wondering what engine the 70V prefix is?

The dogs got into a bobcat... '82 if I remember right.
South of Winterset between 92 and 34 I used to see a mountain lion cross the road at sunrise cross the road frequently.... They are fast
Only bobcat I've seen other than pictures from friends was on card sound road in Florida. It had been hit and was laying in the road.PoleCrusher, cke, Eldiablo and 9 others Thank this.
