    TA, Dayton.

It was nice to get a shower, and the laundry done.

I t-called a load in Columbus this afternoon, and my TM had set me up on a load out of there going back to IL. A Walmart drop that has all day tomorrow to deliver. With this weather I'm glad I have some extra time on it.

The guy at the window in Columbus did me a huge favor, sorry I can't tell you what it was.

dptrucker, FerrissWheel and dwells40 Thank this.

I have to change my address too. My sister decided to move upstairs again, this time to the 4th floor.
She hates people stomping around up there, and now there is no up there to stomp around in.
Top floor now, and with a fireplace.
313 to 413, and the movers could not have been happier with such an easy move.

Then she bought a new car a week later.
She traded in her '17 Corolla for a '21 Corolla.
They gave her 10k for it, which she bought for 22k 4 years ago. Not a bad deal.
The new one costs 23k, with plenty of upgrades from the old model.

And good night from, as well, Effingham.
I pick up a load in the morning going to Franklin, KY.
Since it has a delivery window going into the next day, and since I have already ignored one pplan that would have me picking up tomorrow night at a place I would never find parking at, I will deliver it the next morning instead of tomorrow evening.

    dptrucker and FerrissWheel Thank this.

    I was at the J.

Tonight I'm at a Pilot in Franklin, KY.

My next load is Bridgestone tires down in Morrison, TN. It was supposed to be picked up by yesterday so it is already late.
I'm not planning to pick it up before tomorrow morning because I probably would not find parking anywhere around there.
And I'm bobtail, so I need to find an mt anyway.
My DM sent me for an mt, but it is Bridgestone in Morrison. A different street address but it looks like it is right next door, or the even the same place.
I guess I could head in and snag the mt, roll out and turn around for my load.
Not sure why they don't simply bobtail me if that is the case.

    FerrissWheel Thanks this.

I just tell them to dispatch me when same place empty/load pickup happens. No need to roll out/in bs.

    FerrissWheel and Moosetek13 Thank this.

And I'm right back to Franklin, KY tonight.

After a few tries I got through to my DM this morning to ask about picking up an mt at the place I was loading.
Turns out they do not give out mt's and I had to go 50 miles back to get one because we can NOT bobtail in.
That is a 2 hour hit on my already short 70 hour clock.

The shipper is fine, as long as your mt is very clean.
They inspect every trailer, so don't be like many Swift drivers that come in with a dirty or bad trailer.
I got lucky with a very clean trailer, I didn't even need to sweep it out.

Then I got hit with a 40 minute delay in Nashville with some accident traffic.
When I got up to it I saw a big rig about to be towed and all smashed in, the trailer in a mess on the side, and they had a large garbage container there for the debris. It was a mess, to say the least.

I had an hour of leeway on my 70 to get this load there tomorrow, but that is gone now.
    Because of a a pre-trip and fueling I don't have the time.
Another mac-22 will be sent to explain why it will not be delivered tomorrow.

And a funny part of this story is this...
The empty trailer I was supposed to pick for this load is the exact same trailer that was preloaded for me.
And it was loaded before I got the order to get it.

    FerrissWheel and dptrucker Thank this.

I was watching a video about Star Wars when it first came out, and all the hoopla that surrounded it.

I was there for the opening, and people that saw it a dozen times in the first couple months have nothing on me. Far from it.
13 times in the first week, because I would come out and get right back in line.

There is something I never hear talked about.
The fact that there were several different cuts that differed in the movie.
A name change during a battle scene, an inflection in the voice in another, and a few others.

My advantage was the I could see the movie in different parts of the country.
My dad worked for United Airlines, and I saw it from coast to coast to coast, from the Bay Area to Boston to Hawaii.
Key scenes were off by a little bit in different areas, depending on where I saw it.
I stopped counting at 23, but I had it memorized and noticed the differences.

And to this day, no one else has seemed to notice it.

FerrissWheel, dwells40 and dptrucker Thank this.
