Goodmorning, I've been run solo for much of trucking life, and that's the way i like it, becuse i tryed teams, its always was a hassel for me, i be ready too go , get the job done, they still be in the truck stop bs other driver's , and we got the load late, i gave him a wat for and even report him too the company, too the no avail, he was the teacher pet and i was allways wroung and didnt know what i was talking about, so i said screw it, no more teaming, so now as read these forums , its allbout going out with a trainer and teaming for a month, i dont need that, i just need a week at refresher school and i be good too run hard like i used too, i can make it on any amount of cents miles , when i was crst it was 10 cents a mile aft split with trainer and if i can do that , and live on it, and my trainer was asking me for money , i dont think so, i hated that trainer,he was good ,but not for me,he was a road team member, captain at the termial, had all these pacthes up and down the sleeves, and musta bought out a case of stinky hairspray for his black afro, yes he was a black skinny guy, i have no problems with color, but that hairspray killed me, his trainng truck was a new pete, when you got in , you had certain areas were you put your stuff thats it, he had a line ,a white line between the seats , you take your shoes off before crossing that line, when you were parked , you were shining up the chrome en polishing the truck at the dock, no sleep time, i could care less about that, but that he made me do,so thats why that a big turn off for me , going with someboby again, so is there any company out that there that hires with 3 or more years exp,a couple accident's and speed and improper passing in my cmv record, and no going with a trainer , and i have a current cdl-with air, and just got my medical card yesterday for a anthor year, just asking :biggrin_25524: Everett.

You are not the only trucker fed up with teams. My last codriver was a know it all but didn't type, 32 yrs. old. I am 51, drove straight trucks for years and was with CRST 2 weeks longer. This guy hadn't been out of Ohio! If we were stopped at a truck stop refuelling and I went to the can, he would call me on my phone and tell me to get out there now! He made a wrong turn in NY and got a ticket, and it was my fault even though he would not follow dispatcher, quallcomm and my direction which matched by the way, I had to endure 4 weeks with him. He was getting $1,000 p. week, and I was getting $160 -$235 a week doing most of the driving! He would pull off if at night, in the rain, and blame me for the load being late?! I ran solo for a local company after that and kept being sent to NJ, where everywhere you go is a toll, and after fighting for a month for refunding of tolls, lumpers, I resigned. Now I cannot find any company that will hire me! I turned the truck and keys in at the main yard, as ordered. My driving record and DAC clean. Won't O/O because of fuel prices, loads, economy!
I wish us both luck finding another driving job soon!
