Sorry man, didn't mean to jump on you, just one of those things that doesn't come out well typed. Kind of sad no one around you uses it anymore. Here in East Tn, there is a group of older gentlemen that talk for hours in the evenings on 12 and 16. A lot of talk about old friends and going to the dentist and so forth. I listen to them sometimes while I'm doing my paperwork when I get back in town, pretty nice to hear guys talking like normal people on extremely clean radios.

We got those guys too here in Central Alabama. Channel 24 and 33 are big base station radios. A few of them live in the same county as me and some live further out in neighboring counties. They talk every night sometimes as late 12:30 about whatever. Also, Channel 25 is kind of the "official chilton county" station. If you don't want to leave your radio on 19, then you can flip over to 25 and there is just about always somebody from my home town that is going to answer back. it's actually pretty cool.

Yep, during the day i like to leave my radio on if i am in my pickup truck but don't always like to leave it on 19. but, channel 24 or 25 you are just about always going to have somebody to talk to during the day.
