Been chaseing better rec on my cascadia and have learned a cpl things...
    1 ground plain is a b#$ch.....
2 I knew i needed a long ant but im just not happy with my 102" on a 10" riser set up...At speed ant bends and changes tune and well its not as good as i thought...
3 Putting at about a 40 deg lean is not the secret im lookin for....
So even though im still tinkering with ideas i actually thought about a predator 30k (more ant ability than i or my radios need)or predator freedom antenna....
They both have a height issue, the 30k has a coil(basically makeing it a mid load) so now its looseing some efficiency but has a solid whip...
The freedom has no coil but requires a whip (trimmed down 102")that although thicker and doesnt flex as much as a stand alone 102,its still gonna flex throwing off the tune....The freedom is basically what i have now but with a longer shaft which allows a short whip

Im trying to figure out how to keep an ant firm so that it stays tuned and not have to lean it so far over allowing better ground plain for over all better performance...Also keeping some reflection from the door pillar....

Someone kick some sence into me and convince me not to even consider a 30k or freedom with some info to back up with what i think i already know the answers will be..

Ok ... wondering about this, when you say “At speed ant bends and changes tune...” how much of a change do you see?

Kinda hard to watch analyzer but swr doesnt change alot(no biggie there) but my return loss drops by about 10db and i dont have the vids i thought i saved to re view..Im gonna guess my resonance goes off by roughly 5 points in the negitive i think....I know i can shorten ant to raise it up higher to compensate for wind hitting my whip but......but...but....

Take your phone and mount it somewhere that you can record the display and run the aa then drive. I can’t explain it well enough right now, thawing out from being outside most of the day.

Look up Bob's CB shop in Strattanville, Pa on the web. Get yourself a stainless steel mirror mount bracket for the Cascadia, it comes with longer stainless steel bolts to replace the ones on the mirror now. (make sure its stainless steel, not aluminum) I ran a Wilson 2000, with a 36 inch extension, which He also sells. you won't be disappointed. After He tuned my radio, I was shooting skip! it worked well.

I do....The 30 k has a solid whip and the tune will not change with a head wind keeping signal constant..Been told with my 102 that tx comes n goes..
