I seem to be stuck in the Henderson, CO area. Dropped a load here Wednesday evening and was here all day Thursday. It really wasn't too bad. They had chili cheese dogs for driver appreciation week. Better then nothing! I did get to meet the guy who has the website, www.bigrigtravels.com. He was here getting a window replaced. Real nice guy. Then while I was standing out in the yard on the phone with my wife I see a truck pulling into the yard with "J.J Trucking" on the side. Yes, the elusive JJRanch and Jess-Juju and their kennel on wheels. I really enjoyed spending the afternoon and evening with them. The shop guys decided that I needed new drive tires so they put on a brand new set. I got a load to pick up in Dodge City and had to be there at 4 P.M. on Friday. The load was supposed to be ready at 2 A.M. but they were about 4 hours late getting it ready. This made an on-time delivery to Salt Lake impossible. Dispatch told me to drop the load in Henderson. While driving I talked to 6pak and found out we were in the same area so we met up at the gourmet coffee place in Limon, CO. So here I am in Henderson and dispatch says there probably won't be any loads out of here til tomorrow at the earliest. Oh, well. I have family in the area so I'll have time to visit with them.... While I was typing this I get a message. I'll be here til Monday before my next load. Looks like I'll get an un-needed reset. If anyone's coming through Henderson, look me up.

That is a really bad place to get stuck.
Good luck getting out. Looks like Central has been trolling the forums and trying to get all drivers from this thread to one place. 1Bad is probibly on his way.
I am home now till Monday. Then have a short hop to Boston to deliver a 2 stop for Tuesday. Will start the week off ok though. I have a feeling I will be in Maine tuesday picking up. Just an odd feeling lol. But heck, all my miles up there are 4 cpm more.

Blame the slowness of the thread on Jess. Without Mother Henness on here to keep everybody wound up........ :biggrin_2559:

Am in Gretna, NE at the moment. Did a whopping 284 miles today and will do less than 400 or so tomorrow. Figure I'll spend the night in Rochelle, Il tomorrow and get a jump to the Chicago area on Monday.

The drop dead time on this load wasn't till tomorrow but dang if it wasn't rdy when I got there. Fueled at the hook in Grand Island so am at a hook now and got a clean body and clothes to go with my filthy mind. hehehehe

Looks like I might have found the magic # with my company for getting miles. 3 weeks seem to be it. Now if I can just keep from getting unneeded resets right off the bat.

Hey Everyone, Y'all missed me:biggrin_25522: Panhandle ya can't trust those Swifties:biggrin_25513:

Sitting in a rest area 13 miles from Des Moine Iowa for JJ's 10 hr break.

Yesterday was pretty much wasted, got two beer loads outta Golden CO and scaled the first one and we were over gross and over on the axles well obviously:biggrin_2558: called the FM and she said take the beer to the Henderson yard and have the reefer drained of fuel and have the truck also drained to 1/4 tanks.:biggrin_2551: But the skirts over the tanks would have to be taken of for that hmmmmmmmm and then we sit at Henderson Yard for 2 hrs and they send us another beer load this one even heavier according to the Squawk box, are they retarded (DON'T ANSWER THAT) JJ calls his FM once again and says this load is heavier then the last and she says just go pick it up and see. Yep it was way over gross sooooooooooooo he calls her again and she says a load just came in, Potatoes outta Alliance NE going to Sacramento PA 1500 Miles compared to the nasty heavy Beer load which was 600 miles and 4 days on it and probably no early Drop.

River had fun hanging out at the Terminal the other day hmmmmm was only yesterday lol.

I will try sign on more often :biggrin_25526:

JJ says hey everyone and no Jess hasn't driven me insane YET

    Spinner,

Appreciate the photos. Sitting here in OKC, going to head for KY when the trainer awakes. Been running well. Went from Louisville to Nashville for load to PDX. Met the wife in parking lot...is that a drive by or a fly by?
Picked up load to Fontana and now enroute to Mt Sterling, KY. Have lots of hours. Put on chains and drove through snow the first day. Quieted down since, but have done St. Louis (twice) KC (twice) and LA all in afternoon/evening traffic. Also have done the Grapevine.
    Hope to upgrade before/during/after Thanksgiving?
Haven't heard from anyone, but time on the Internet is scarce. Been renting one day at a time when able. Thanks for the update.
