Invertor problem

Actually i don't dance. the majority of my computing is this forum, yahoo messenger, occassionally HULU, and some yahoo games.

I talked with Tarps on ym, and I think the problem might be in my cables between the battery and inverter. I may have to get some new cables, but not real sure yet. the only way to know for sure is to run a drop voltage test, but since I hooked the inverter up myself (done it with several trucks and inverters for family members) I cant have the voltage drop test ran with inverted hooked up at our terminal.

 

Crappy old batteries, I bet. I'm having the same problem, though mine take about 7 hours to drop the batteries to the point that the truck won't start. It doesn't take long for the low voltage alarm to go off on the inverter at all. A matter of minutes. Well, it used to until I took the inverter case apart and attacked the buzzer with a pair of wire cutters. No more buzzer.

 

If I did that Kaji, I wouldn't know my truck was gonna die. It warns me before the truck does. Although neither give sufficient warning usually when I hear the beeps...oh too late

 

Since this is a thread about inverter problems I'll post here.

I have a Cobra 2575 that has made a helluva racket since it is new. The cooling fan whines loudly. Anyone else have this problem or can offer a fix? Thanks
