Those are pretty neat.!
I've kept a little store bought gripper in my side door pocket for years. Now I'd guess the lbs rating on it is nowhere near 195lbs.. Heck I can squeeze it shut 80-100 reps..

Anyway I started keeping it there for fuel pumps when the hold open was broken. Works perfect to keep the pump on wide open so you don't have to hold it the whole time while your tank is filling..

2nd if I start feeling drowsy in the saddle, I grab it from the door pocket & start squeezing. Wakes me up pretty good till I can get to a safe spot..

 

Looking for input from you guys who look at flatbed loads on the boards...
I have to go back home some time in March for phase 2 on a PM when the parts are in. I would love to leave this stupid reefer and leave with a flatbed if there is decent work. I don't want to ask my dispatcher cuz when I mentioned it last time she got really nervous LOL. She wants me happy but she also wants money and the reefer loads have been in the 3-4$/mile lately. So she's probably hoping to keep me on this as long as possible without crushing my will to live...
Flatbed should be ramping up around early to mid March shouldn't it? How is it now? I have no load board access and percentage is new to me so input is welcome...

 

Haha man I don’t think I could do 80 reps with the 195 one, just one or two attempts and I’m lucky if I can even grip it, sounds like the 60lb one I have; start grinding the handles together on that thing when someone pisses you off at the fuel pumps

 

March is when a number of open deck freight come on line. Mostly the sticks and bricks type as the start of construction season kicks in. Rates can bounce around on spot markets, better to have customer freight.

 

Welp, layed around the house and mostly slept Sunday. Time to get stuff done. One thing I will say is ya got to have brains first of all to check at the door. I moved on long ago. Some just can't let go. Keep it up, and I'll keep standing my ground. Just a bit of wisdom for the unwise.

 

Its like summer, temps have doubled since I woke up. Chrispy 16°.
