For hubby and I , it's a retirement job, or "life AFTER" law enforcement. Hey, I think I just put two-and-two together here. The reason why some - not all - current-cops are hostile toward ex-cop truckers has GOT to be the pay-disparity!
Hey, you can tell I'm late wadin' through this thread! It's been entertaining, especially the self-defense videos. Hubby trucked part-time all the years he was coppin', then went full time more than 15 yrs ago. I'm the newby trucker just going into my third year -- and I am continually amazed at how much there is to learn about this industry. I worked my entire adult life in an office, so I'm still appreciatin' the "office with a view" that's continually changing -- DESPITE the fact that some company's dock workers treat TDs like doggy-doo.What's up with that?
