What if it Snows?

Guess hey don’t have concrete mortar out west..?

is that stuff plastic wrapped in the pallets? I’ve hauled a few loads of that maybe 250 miles that wasn’t plastic wrapped and it wasn’t looking to stable then...... can’t imagine going 1599 miles with them.....?

 

I asked the same question. Why they hell does someone ship concrete 2500 miles? Yes it is plastic wrapped individually and pallets are shrink wrapped.. Actually one of the better palletized loads ive hauled.. Usually they are sloppy.... Wonder if the cold weather affects it much?

 

Shouldn’t because it’s dry , no moisture in it..... of course you have a 4’ drop tarp on it.....?

 

Yep its tarped and covered in road salt and ice

 

we used to get fancy ,6 pallets on the front and 8 pallets on the back with 15 feet of mt deck in the middle . No tarp and 1 strap on each set of 2 pallets and go. The whole game was to try to get it off same day........

 

One of those nights I could have driven more than my 11. I'm stopped at an 80 rest area in Oh Hi O. It's snowing. I'm off to chi Town with the low paying load from Philly. I wonder after tolls, If I should have dead headed to ohio and picked up there. But I always wonder that. At least I got moving. If it wasn't time sensative I could have saved $100 or $200 in tolls.

Do u have ez pass ? Ive always thought about getting it but dont think i pay enough tolls to make it worth it...
