Yea, to me outside of building a racer that isn't street legal, there is no point in building impractical "art". To each their own though, some people will pay thousands for a picture that looks like it was drawn by a 6 year old with autism.
What if it Snows?

BTW I like to build performance cars/bikes on the ragged edge of street legal that are done well enough to show in the daily driver classes........... And well thrash them daily.Rideandrepair, austinmike, LoSt_AgAiN and 5 others Thank this. -
Exactly , money isn’t one of my many problems........for some of us it’s how we make a living and it’s a hobby/lifestyle all wrapped into one.......
And no one has figured out how to take it with them yet........Rideandrepair, LoSt_AgAiN, dwells40 and 4 others Thank this. -
I've only built 1 vehicle, and it was for my enjoyment/ daily driver. Took the Vortec out of a 95 Chevy stepside and dropped a 383 crate in her. I'm hoping to start the buying process on a house soon with enough room for a wood and metal working shop.Rideandrepair, LoSt_AgAiN, JolliRoger and 2 others Thank this.

Seems like a waste..... drive a fiat.Rideandrepair, LoSt_AgAiN and D.Tibbitt Thank this.

One of the better "unverifiable trucker stories" I've heard was about a guy rolling into one of ICE checkpoints.
Evidently the dogs alerted so the officers wanted to search his truck, He asked permission to secure his cat before they put the dog in. They denied his request and removed him from the truck. Then put the dog in and closed the door assuring the driver that the dog would have no problem "handling the cat".
Kitty was a hand raised bob cat that did not appreciate his nap disturbed by the dog.Rideandrepair, LoSt_AgAiN, Cowboyrich and 5 others Thank this. -
Close it is a Spitfire.....
Back in the day it was fun harassing new Porsches and "muscle cars" with a 30 year old little British car.Rideandrepair, LoSt_AgAiN, D.Tibbitt and 2 others Thank this. -
no ... only enough to keep things running....wrenching is not my hobbyRideandrepair, LoSt_AgAiN, JolliRoger and 1 other person Thank this.
