Does anyone know the shift pattern for a 15 speed double OD? its on a 96 Pete 379 if that helps.

This was the shift pattern of the 15 speed I had years ago.Stroked F550 Thanks this. -

I heard something about the 15s having an X pattern was that way before 96? -

The 15 I drove did not split the lower gears, it was a double reduction in the lower 5. You could go from the reduction gears (1-5) and hit the spliter to go to 4th, then continue on up the high side.

I drove a 97 379 that had the same shift pattern. I didn't use the double reduction gears unless I was loaded heavy and starting out on a hill.1989 Pete Thanks this. -

Never saw a 15 shift like that, mine was just like a 10 speed. on the newer one, RTX. the old one the last two holes were reversed (4@5 holes) RTO. 5th, 10th, and 15 were against the dash. the lower 5 gears were like LB say's, but you can go from 3 to six or a couple of ways
