Sounds like that officer is getting a pretty serious tongue lashing on social media after that comment...

 

Yeah, there are 53' tank trailers, but many food grade ones are 45 or 48'.

So I've been able to get into some of the spots that demoralize the average door slammer......

If they close 80, they close 30... Regardless of conditions on 30. But as I am sure you know, a "Light High Profile" closure is a discretionary closure... If you go and make it without wrecking they dont care... If you wreck, well you're pretty much F'd. And the wind is never as bad out on 30 as it is on 80....

That said, as of right now... I would be parked for the wind as well with only 10k in the box... But if the winds dropped to where I thought it was "Borderline Risk" I would roll on US30.

 

That's apparently exactly what happened. He was in a federal park drinking and initially refused a sobriety test. He was a Dick long before this incident.
