Suggestions for Steer Tires

22s what and where do u drive, off road alot or sometime, Kelly's,

 

I’ve had good luck with Yokohama ry617

 

I had the best experience with Michelin X line energy Z 16 ply.

 

I love the tires but they are the most expensive you can buy. This could just be bad luck but I've had more trouble with Michelin steers than any other.

I switched to MUCH cheaper Firestones about 6 months ago. They make a little noise but have been trouble free and are wearing well. 507's I think?

 

Firestones are great and priced very reasonable, Goodyear’s are junk worse than Chinese and priced almost as bad as Michelin’s

 

The latest Bridgestones is what I’m running right now. Otherwise I’d probably go a Michelin. I’ve ran Goodyear’s and Firestone’s but always get funny wear happening on them.

The Bridgestones as long as you have an alignment done and replace the shocks at the same time, will go 175,000 miles with ease. You could push for 200 but with steers why take the chance.

If you run more local you could try the Kelly’s. I hadn’t ran them in years but always did well for me. Just not real fuel efficient with rolling resistance.

 

Couple of months ago I couldn't find Michelin in stock anywhere local, so I got Yoko 701zl for $375 and Continental HS3 for $425, will see how that goes

 

I run Firestone FS591. On my third set, got 170k out of them. My recommendation is to not run cheap tires on your steers, stay away from Chinese.
