Looking at some new steer tires within a couple months. May will be the end of my first year as an OO. I had new Chinese ones put on 80k ago and they are wearing well and evenly but approaching end of life. I would buy them again but want I put from others. I know there’s better tires.
Looking for suggestions and input on your favorite steer tires and what you’ve had success with in the past. My dad runs Highway Controls and says he’ll use them forever. Share your thoughts. 24.5” wheels FWIW.
Edit: Midwest, dry van, 50/50 mix of interstate and highway / county roads.

I love the tires but they are the most expensive you can buy. This could just be bad luck but I've had more trouble with Michelin steers than any other.
I switched to MUCH cheaper Firestones about 6 months ago. They make a little noise but have been trouble free and are wearing well. 507's I think?Brettj3876, Deere hunter, Rideandrepair and 1 other person Thank this. -
Firestones are great and priced very reasonable, Goodyear’s are junk worse than Chinese and priced almost as bad as Michelin’s

The latest Bridgestones is what I’m running right now. Otherwise I’d probably go a Michelin. I’ve ran Goodyear’s and Firestone’s but always get funny wear happening on them.
The Bridgestones as long as you have an alignment done and replace the shocks at the same time, will go 175,000 miles with ease. You could push for 200 but with steers why take the chance.
If you run more local you could try the Kelly’s. I hadn’t ran them in years but always did well for me. Just not real fuel efficient with rolling resistance.Deere hunter, Rideandrepair and OldeSkool Thank this. -
Couple of months ago I couldn't find Michelin in stock anywhere local, so I got Yoko 701zl for $375 and Continental HS3 for $425, will see how that goesRideandrepair and 86scotty Thank this.

I run Firestone FS591. On my third set, got 170k out of them. My recommendation is to not run cheap tires on your steers, stay away from Chinese.Derailed, Brettj3876, Deere hunter and 4 others Thank this.
