Why do they modify the housing? Holset has OEM housings for larger wheels.

I like they website because they don't give any stupid names to their turbos like Stage this or that or Big Boss but gives wheel sizes, a/r numbers etc. I want to know what I am buying.

PP doesn't modify the housings on the Holset, but to make a MT stage 5 you do need to.

The Stage 3 is good for a stock engines with fuel codes and a hot program in the ECM.

Mine is just worn, and a quality replacement is all I am after.
With the CAT prices one would think they will never wear out,,, :biggrin_25526:

Maybe someday I'll bump up the HP\torque so I can go over Mont Eagle at 75mph,
I weigh a hair under 54,000 and for now will never exceed that.

thanks to all for the feedback I will be makign some calls Monday am....

MT is Michigan Turbo and their Stage 5 is machined to fit a larger compressor wheel in the housing.

The specs on the turbo in the link are very similar to my competition turbo

Ok. So they are just fitting a larger compressor wheel with stock exhaust wheel? No wonder they blow with high HP, so called hybrids are only for gasoline engines because they have less exhaust volume.
