I can't add anything different from what the other members told you, other than: "You still have a job." Focus on keeping that one first. Don't worry about future endeavors, just worry about honing your skills. Don't look ahead to your future endeavors. Just look 10 seconds ahead to the vehicle in front of you.

Im gonna go against what everyone else is saying and Im also going to say that those 2 "incidents" are minor and not that big of a deal. You were newer and inexperienced. Those two incidents gave you some experience. Look at it as learning what not to do. That's how you become a better driver.

Get your DAC and PSP reports. If you're not 100% sure about your driving record, get a copy of your MVR from your states mvd/dmv. DAC is a private run company that megas love to use against drivers. Your PSP is through the fmcsa. Its what every company uses when hiring a driver.

No police report means the 1st incident wasn't recorded. If getting towed from getting stuck in a ditch didnt involve the police and/or a written report, its the same as the 1st. This means you probably have a clean PSP (other than failed inspections). Your DAC might be different, but that is all based on what Swift reported to HireRight.

Unsure about layover pay. I was told I was put in for some, but how much I don't know. It should show up on this week's paycheck so I'll find out Thursday evening when paystub is available to view on InGauge.

I picked up in Ohio last Saturday heading to Los Angeles. Ran out my clock getting to Daleville, IN. Perfect, I thought. I'll take my 34, let this weather pass and head out Monday morning. Still in Daleville! I am heading out this morning. There was no reason for me to attempt leaving any sooner. There was no way I was getting across the I-44/I-40 corridor with all of the weather. My company has no problem with us shutting down fo weather. In fact, they encourage it. I will be paid for 2 days of layover @ $100 per day.

There is no such thing as a minor or major preventable, it costs someone something to fix.

if you had two in a year, then rethink your choices, learn how to drive better and be more attentive.

The trend has been by insurance companies to limit what drivers can have on their records in order to be insured. Swift can insure someone like the op because of how they structured their insurance program and policies but many others can’t hire drivers with preventables on their record without an increase in insurance cost.

the op should stay right where he is, take a year or two to clean up his record and then move on.

If My mirror were taken off by somebody that moved over too much I would be pissed off. It could have been a lot worse I would not call that minor. Don't be in such a rush just relax especially on smaller two lane roads

The reason you're at Swift right now is because you are learning how to drive a truck safely and efficiently. YOU are not there yet. Stay there and learn to drive well before you go and wreck your license and have to work on the line at your local Amazon warehouse. LTL companies want someone to hit the ground running. They are doing multiple pick ups and deliveries all in one day. Do you really think you are ready for that? Be honest with yourself before you ask others to take a chance on you.

@Lee804 here's an LTL that might hire you central transport.
