Rumor is that I'll be pulling conastogas beginning next week so i hope my drivers' lounge days will be increasingly limited going forward, lol.

Got to experience 285N in rush hour with inclement weather yesterday. Made it through alive, lol. Going through today should be easy mode.

 

Oh, woe is me. Been here about 3 months. 1st truck I had was an automatic that hated the wet. Between the 6 breakdowns including 2 visits to the dealer I lost about a month of driving. I asked for some help figuring I'd get another old truck but this time with a stick. I was told I couldn't have one. I'd have to put up with brand new. Picked it up yesterday and now have over 800 miles on the clock. How am I supposed to act? Everything works, it smells new, it rides and handles very well. Really ticks me off. Now I have nothing to bi*** about.

After my restart, I went to West Unity, SC to load and go to Geneva, IL. Actually took yard to Janesville, and hooked up to a load headed to Anniston. I dropped it at the yard on Sunday, and grabbed an empty and went home. I ended up getting another reset at the house.

I left out Tuesday AM dealing with light snow deadheading to Chattanooga to load and headed to Hastings, NE. I got loaded, and begin that dreaded trip through Uri, but remarkably, the roads were clean with a few spots of slush. I got this load off today, which was scheduled to unload tomorrow. I pick up tomorrow in Hastings, then down to Raymond, KS. From Raymond, KS over to Emporia, then back up to Grand Forks, then off to Exeter, PA for Monday morning.

This is about the best I ve seen freight this early in the year since I ve been here. Usually its super slow, but has been steady which is good. I m contemplating training again.

Hey @RampageGNS I’m on the northern regional side. I can say I like doing it. You’ll run between ND, MN, NE, IA and Canada. You’ll have some SD and WI mixed with an occasional IN. You’ll definitely see Winnipeg and surrounding area. The only times I’ve gone thru Steinbach was on my down to Roseau.

 

Thanks for the reply. I talked with Brian a few times he ran my pre app. Long as I keep my record clean until finish school I’ll probably be joining. Seems like a good gig and a good fit personally.
