This might be a weird question and I do not know if anyone would even know....My hubby drives a flatbed I dispatch the loads for his truck, plan his week, set up pick and drops and get directions if needed. I am wondering since I already do this for my hubby if there is a way to break into the dispatching industry and make a income off it. I am often on the truck so I thought it might be a great job I could do no matter where we might be. If anyone has any advice or can lead me in the right direction I am all ears thanks in advance!

Just ask around for another owner if they would like you to look for work for them. Agree to a percentage and go.

Not at all. Dispatchers aren't brokers. Different thing.

Yeah with your own authority you hire them as a 1099 driver and charge 10% for Dispatch. It’s a lot easier than you think.

So.....I was a thinking of something along those lines but I was unsure who's authority they would need to be under etc

If i were to do it that way would that driver just sign up as a carrier for the shipper I get my loads through or would they just run loads under my carrier contract already established? See folks I got lots of questions! I was actually thinking of charging 5-7% as my hubby is a driver some brokers can take more than they should dispatcher is not the same as a broker. From what I have seen online it is all centered around becoming a broker and I am not really wanting that. Just want to add a little income to the house doing the work I already do.
