Without reading 20 pages back. What happened to you?

Did you roll off a cliff and after 24 hours decided you had to chew through your wrist that was trapped between the shifter and the ELD so you could call dispatch to let them know what happened so you didn’t lose your preloads for the week?

    Bad Trucker.

Looks to be an Austrailian Shepherd cross... Most like my with Border Collie, possibly regular Collie.

In another local that dog would have been a working cow dog.

Yeah... My dad is a house contractor... Since covid began lumber prices have better than doubled. When they noticed the sharply upward trwnding prices they began pre-ordering thier lumber packages for 8 to 10 months down the line. And no more keeping the unused stock either... Anything left over gets returned.

Well I got an intereating phone call today....

A cattle broker called me today. He offered me a job running an immaculate Old Iron PeterCar dragging a Bullrack. My emotions are screaming to take it... But then my brain kicks in and hollars "Whoa Nelly!!! We best ruminate on this for a bit."

It's about the same pay and mileage... But no benefits. And with the wife being a stay at home mom, those benefits are pretty important. I would dearly love to trade this over sized plastic toy Volvo for a Real Truck, and I do really miss hauling cattle. Plus I would be home more. But I know how things go with hauling cattle... What is a good steady lane can suddenly dry up then your left hunting for another. Or all of a sudden the market tanks and theres nothing to haul for 3 weeks until the market rebounds.

So as much as I'd like to take him up on his offer, I think I'm going to have to pass on it.

Not only that, but if Bill Gates has his way we'll all be putting synthetic beef on the barby. That might impact bullhaulers just a wee bit. And maybe an entire friggin industry with it. These folks make my head explode.

If you would be coming through in the next couple days I'd say I-44 for sure. Unfortunately, fuel is getting scarce in the Lone Star.
