Kubota EA-330 E4. The original idea was from this site Kubota 3.5 kW Marine Diesel Generator - Hardy Diesel. Just converted cooling system to radiator with fan and generator head installed on the top of the engine to keep W dimension under 21" to fit frame.
AC unit is split system 10000 BTU.

Gotcha, I thought you were meaning cut a hole in the back wall for a window unit. I've seen it done. I don't know how they survive for long there, or stay waterproof. Good thing is with a window unit you could buy one ever year if they die. They're only like $150

Well, I did it by myself from the parts available.
The engine was most expensive part $1,200. Really hard to find on the market out of Kubota dealer.
Generator head from local classified list, $250.
    Frame attaching clamps $100
Total is about $2000 with the all parts and materials used to this project. Many parts came from auto scrap yard, such as relay box, coolant expansion reservoir, coolant hoses, coolant pump, wires.

The generator head bolted up to the crank or belt driven?

It's timing belt driven with pulleys ratio set to run generator at 3600 while engine RPM is around 3000.

The Predator Inverter Generators are going for that. The regular 4375W peak/3500W run generators are around $460. Are while they are good generators, I have one for the house, they are not quiet. Don't think I would like one in the truck.

That one you have listed is not an inverter generator. I'm sure that's quite a bit louder.

They must be selling a lot of them because the prices really have come up.

For about $100 more then the 3500, I can get a 4500 Westinghouse with a remote control start and has a 3.4 gallon tank that will run up to 18 hours.

They are getting to be quite pricey.
