    That's great it lasted that long with you spraying everything down.

    I did find this which I thought was interesting. It's made to actually cover it while it runs in bad weather. I'm sure it wouldn't take long for it to be filthy from all the road dirt but if a protected it... And they say that it's hurricane proof.

    GenTent XKi cover - for running and using inverter generator safely in rain and all wet weather

    I'm against cutting into my truck for any reason.

    I know some guys do that and RV companies do that and all that but I just don't like the idea of cutting into my truck. I want it to stay the way it is from the factory and all sealed up no leaks no damage and no holes that weren't originally there.

    @Dino soar

    Here is my gen and one of the fuel tanks sitting on the small space on my trailer. I think @blairandgretchen ran a small champion here. This is a boat gas tank and I have a better fuel can that actually that takes less space but I have not modified it to be an extended run tank yet. I don’t run around with these here. I just lock them here when parked if I use them. Otherwise I moved all my chains in my headache rack to other side so the gen and gas can fit in here. The gen by itself will run quite awhile by itself with a heater running but with extended run tank of fuel will give it close to 72 hours run time. I don’t keep this one full so probably about give me 5-6 days on the road without needing to hit the gas pump if I run it 7-8 hours a day

    That really looks nice and neat.

    Do you think that when you set that tank up when you're sitting still that if DOT came through the parking lot they might give you a hard time?

    I know you'll be sitting still but they do say you're not allowed to use a siphon system.

    I can be real selective when I use it. More than likely I’ll will just get e a dot approved container and refill when needed.
