Newbie Freight shipper looking for advice

Might wanna wait till summer. With the current market situation and winter time, I can not even imagine this move costing you less than 15k

 

Maybe truck container to Seattle, then boat to Alaska.

 

Lynden trucking goes to Alaska all the time. They can ship stuff on truck or boat. I have seen stuff about a boat/ barge that goes to Alaska. Lynden has barge service to Alaska.

When I was at Landstar they had some loads to Alaska for $4 or $5 per mile was the going rate back then. No loads out of Alaska so driver had make enough money to drive empty all the way back to Seattle. They had loads paying $15,000 to $23,000. I would think a company like Lynden could do it cheaper then average driver.

How to you plan on getting the can on and off the trailer?

 

I can tell you that you will be likely paying full load price just due to your location. If you were in Washington or the Dakota's you might have a fighting chance on filling out somebody's load at $4-$5,000.
Full load your looking at around $15k

 

In other words, you want it hauled as cheaply as possible and whether or not the trucker makes a profit isn't important to you?
