I have come to the conclusion cre just wants us around to donate to the church for them. They don't CARE about their drivers. Not in the least

If your husband has a CDL with 1yr experience in the past 3yrs,tell him to run!CRE will run his butt to the ground! No home time until after his 3 months and they'll give him a major guilt trip or "you may not have job if you go home" and he won't!And if he tries to go company, forget it,you lease or you don't drive. I'm not gonna poop on anyone who wants to lease but in winter? And CRE is not the most reasonable around. I went to the Dallas school(now closed down) and there instructors down right lie!!!!"Oh,we lost 3 instructors cause they went back to CRE and became independent contractors and are making $120,000.00 a year now".Ask your hubby if he's heard that line of #####. If he needs a refresher coarse of 3 months or better, call prime or werner, better companies and a lower death tool than CRE.:biggrin_2551:

Seems like when any other poster has put the responsibility on the driver to make his/her own desicion on staying with a company, YOU want to re-direct it to the Company. Nobody is putting a gun to anyones head for signing a contract/lease/Cdl Loan. Its like Joining the Military. Everyone wants to know what the Government/Cr england can do for them, but the question REALLY is - what does the Driver(You) bring to the company which the company already doesnt have????

What do I, a Big truck truck driver, bring to a truckin' company like C.R. England that CRE "already doesn't have"?

    Hmmmmmmmmmmm
    Let's see now, --------------------------
    Well, for starters, ...................
    Integrity,
    Honesty,
    Loyalty,
    Perseverance,
    Determination,
    Ability,
    Aptitude,
    Desire,
    Agility,
    (Good) Attitude,
And a motto --------------- Do the RIGHT thing, even when NO one is lookin'.
On the flip-side of that card is another motto of mine, -------
    Failure is NOT
    an Option.

Can you imagine bein' at CRE with a motto like my last example?
Not only is failure a possible option there, it's highly likely, and seemingly easy to do just that.

For those who've never felt failure, and are curious what it's like, ---
I recommend C.R. England with confidence. They'll provide an experience known as a driver's worst nightmare before a door is opened
    and the driver is
    kicked to the curb. :violent1::smt104

    Very true, tm.
At least they're not supposed to move without a driver.
Did you mean put MORE zombies behind the wheel?
I'm thinkin' they're already doin' that.
    Are you sure?
Some of those I've seen kinda look like real people from a distance, but
get up close to 'em and notice they act like robots that resemble real people.
Now that I've pondered the thought a tad, I bet they ain't robots either. More 'n likely they're dummies.

If so, would the dummies be required to pass through CRE's metal detector ---- just to see (visit) their dispatcher? It wouldn't surprise me if CRE manages to make dummies even more hostile than real people, especially when CRE promotes them to lease operators within a week of being built.
We might yet hear of CRE's big robot revolt as the dummies wise up. :biggrin_25523:

England IS the company store of the 1920's.

Where Irishmen went to work in a mine and had to buy company equipment that would fall apart and you paid a premium so you would always be in debt.

The part that CR E plays out so well these days is to find infractions that they claim was your fault so they can keep you in debt. If you dont have log probs before going to work I can guarantee you will have them in 2 weeks of working there.

The only people that are supposedly getting paid are the ones on team and company trucks. The exceptions to this rule are the ones that are still there after 2 years of hardship.

well I just wanted to update everyone if anyone is still on here from when i started this post. :)
i quite my job and flew to Salt lake city to meet him! My husband DID lease a truck. we have done well. I rode with him for the first 3 months then he became a phase 1 trainer so he could train me and then I went to dallas school for my cdl last july and we have both been driving. we got on a dedicated and we go from PA to CA every week and back. Home 2 days a week. we love and we are making money. however i am sure there is more money to be made in the trucking industry! We turn our first lease in 3 weeks from today and we have a brand new fuel efficient cascadia on order. we plan to stick with it for a little while longer get a good 3 years expereince under our belt. My school was free because my husband was already with england. so i paid $0 for my school!!! was a great deal. I just wanted to report back to everyone that all of our sacrifices DID pay off. its not easy though and school and training is a nightmare especially if you dont have a spouse already there. but if you stick with it and get a lease truck you will do fine. things happen and are not perfect but for the most part you can always do something to better your situation like get another fleet, another dm, etc. lots of good fleets and good dms out there 3 of the 5 we have had have been great. I met a girl in school who was going to get a truck and then have her husband come over from another company. they ended up separating she became a trainer for a while and once she showed her dm she could run she now runs solo has a brand new cascadia and she said her take home pay has been close to 900 dollars a week. we are doing well too we make about 1600 a week. nothing to sneeze at. thats take home pay. after truck, insurance, and all he other goodies come out. anyway.. just wanted to report back. take care all.
