I know how they work, just never experienced them in use

 

If it's doing it all the time, it's worth looking into - could be a leaking wheel seal causing it to grab and trigger abs, or a bad tone ring or sensor triggering it too.

 

If you are empty and the road is wet or has snow/ice patches then your abs may start pumping with as little as a 10lb application.

 

That hurt to read buddy. But glad that was the only damage. Them heavy wood doors can be dangerous. Glad your mostly ok!

Have ya got out and checked to see if any seal is leaking and if all the shoes are wearing even. When's the last time the truck had a pm done?

 

If ya got a good nose you'll be able to smell when ones leaking
