What's it like to deliver bounce houses? How is the process of loading and unloading the truck?

No, it won't count as experience.

You've been around for a bit, but I don't remember your backstory and don't want to go looking for it right now. If you want to get on with a a local p&d, but need experience - go the dock to driver route. Or just get on with almost any tractor trailer company - everyone is hurting for drivers so it shouldn't be too hard. The bounce house gig is a dead end for never was.

I'm going to be looking for strictly p&d delivery to businesses, schools and residential areas, no doubles or triples, preferably a pup and a city tractor... something that I'll be able to do for the next couple decades that'll keep me in shape

Ok, so do that. Plenty of food service - soda, chips/snacks, vending - or real p&d that will hire with no experience.

If you can't get hired in your area with no experiance, then go otr for a year. It may not be what you want to do, but in terms of advancing yourself it's light years above this bouncy house bs.

If the op wants to haul a pup daily he has a good chance with Penske and deliver for Starbucks. most of the drivers in my area deliver with 28ft pup or a bobtail.

As far as city P&D most freight gets delivered by 53 48 or 40, pups are usually utilized as a last resort unless its a pup with a liftgate or theres an area thats super tight and it needs a pup to make deliveries.

Either way its not impossible to get an assigned pup but the chances are very slim.

i do not believe those rental companies have a full time staff, all year long. here, very often on Craig's List, i will see ads for drivers for such a job, usually advertising as either seasonal or part time.

that would be a good gig for a student on summer vacation, or retired people that just want a little, "mad money".

i think only a manager or 2, would be full timers.

I can't believe the mods haven't deleted this guys account yet. And judging by the way these silly, silly, repetitive questions are asked, I'm not sure the poster has the mental capacity needed to operate a commercial vehicle. Very sad.

I have other stuff to deal with before I get my cdl which leaves more time to compare, and decide what work I'm going to do and everything else that is needed... I've been around commercial vehicles since I was a kid...

If you don't like his posts you can either place him on Ignore or just scroll on past.
As far as deleting his account, if and when he breaks TTR rules he'll be dealt with like any other member.
He's welcome to continue to post, as are you, but complaining about posts just because they irritate you isn't the way to go.

That's never going to happen. Best we can hope for is people get bored with it, and move onto the next "crisis".

    Reddit is leaking...
