Why did you go from Laredo to Eagle Pass? Surely that load wasn't going to Del Rio.

I went through Eagle pass. Then 277 over by Del Rio, picked up 90 to Sanderson, then 285 all the way up into New Mexico.

No brainer really. Alternative would have either 83-158/153- I 20-84- I 40 ( 40 miles farther) or else go way out of the way and go through San Antonio.

That route is pretty much standard for any load going west or northwest.

Yeah I was running from Laredo to Portland, Or for a awhile and took the same route as far as I 40. I liked running the 2 lane from Del Rio to Sanderson and then north to Ft Stockton. Put the hammer down and could really make some good time. Rarely saw a bear either at least after you past the Pecos river. I always wanted to stop in Langtry and visit the Judge Roy Bean Museum, but I never did..

Not the bust on you but that's Hollywood not real life. No heroic public defender is going to come and get you out of the mess for free

You're going to get arrested, if you don't have the money to make bail you're going away in till your trial.the public defender are they assigned you really doesn't care and just wants to make a deal so they're going to push you to plead guilty to some charge.

Even if you happen to have the money to post bail and hire a good private attorney, your life is going to be destroyed and you were going to spend tens of thousands of dollars on the attorney. Not to mention you're probably lose your job, your wife will leave you, people will be talking behind your back saying you did it and destroying your reputation.

And after all that if you're lucky enough to get acquitted on all charges you get to try to rebuild your life.it's not like some magical cosmic Santa Claus God Easter Bunny comes down and just makes it all like it was before. The police and the prosecutors who charged you and tried to make it stick don't you even say I'm sorry.

And frankly the really sad part about it is most police and most district attorneys just want to hang someone for the crime. They don't care who, they don't care who did it, just as long as they can hang somebody. That's what gets them promoted and or re-elected
